Did get to MA early evening, checked lights once more & located that brake lights weren't Operating & more. VW dealer in town checked it out next day & mentioned 30 amp fuse for lights was melted w/fuse block, which they removed & replaced. 1054 days ago 03 Jetta Tdi...similar concern...black wire to fuse box on battery burnt...melted just a little of fuse box...going to exchange black wire that has a thicker (decreased gauge) wire and alternator repair raleigh nc exchange fuse box...Volkswagen uses cheap wiring all through their cars.
